Expirations and Service Packs

Since May 15th is just around the corner, I strongly recommend that any sites running *pre-release* versions of Community Server 2007 be upgraded to the final release as soon as possible. This means, if you are running either Beta1, Beta2, or RC1, you should upgrade to the final release. As you may recall, in each of our pre-release versions we warned that the Beta/RC would "expire" on May 15, 2007. If you decide to wait it out, you'll end up with an unsightly message at the top of *every page* of your site for all to see. The only way to remove this message is to upgrade to the final release of Community Server 2007.

And speaking of upgrades, even if you are running the RTM version, why not go get the recently released service pack for Community Server 2007. That's right, today we announced and released Community Server 2007 SP1 (see the announcement for a complete list of fixes). In addition to the service pack update package (which includes all modified files, updated binaries, and a sql update script), all complete packages (web, msi, demo, sdk) have been updated and are available from our download center.

So, since you're probably running old bits, head on over and pick up an upgrade. And if you *still* haven't purchased either a personal or commercial license, what are you waiting for?
