Member Points System Wish List

For those of you who didn't realize it, *all* purchased versions of Community Server 2007 now include the Member Points System. This means that if you're running the Personal Edition you can use the MPS to begin to track members reputation across your community. Today I posted an overview on the wiki and expect to add some articles for how best to customize it.

For those of you that have used the MPS, I just have a couple simple questions:

  1. What do you like?
  2. What don't you like?
  3. How should we modify/extend it in the future?

I have posted on the CS forums, with no response. I would like to know if the invite user control, gives points to those who have invited users. If not, it should.

Hi Derek - Upon reading the overview, you'll see that we do not yet award points for invitations in Community Server 2007. But hopefully that will be something we'll add. Thanks for the feedback!

The documentation is very clear, thanks.

I'm still not clear whether anything else is related to Member Points - e.g. User Ranks or Top Contributor.

Or - at the end of the day - whether it's just a number?

Thanks

Andrew - At this time it's just a number. Since the Member Points System was only available for certain purchased editions of Community Server it didn't make sense to tie it into other areas. Based on feedback that may/not change.
