Community Server 2007 Now Available!

While I'm certainly late to the party, yesterday we announced the final release of Community Server 2007. In addition to finalizing the RTM version, we've spent the last couple weeks wrapping up the new store and download center. Many have already begun to purchase, download, and install CS2K7 since yesterday's release. (This is the first time we're selling a Personal/Developer non-commercial license for under $100 with *no* licensing restrictions, so definitely check it out).

We are extremely excited about this release as it's got some great new features, it's been the most stable, and it's the most on-time of any of our previous scheduled releases. Also, the integration with the store for license lookup and simple purchases is definitely going to be a benefit to our current and future customers.

Speaking of current customers, if you're looking to upgrade your existing license from CS 2.1 to CS2K7, we've added a page to the store where you can submit the necessary information and send it on its way to the folks that can get you an upgraded license. If you'd rather stick with your CS 2.1 license, then today we released the final service pack for Community Server 2.1. Either way, we think you'll like what you get!

Finally, I'm happy to note that this is my 100th blog post! Big Smile

And what a beauty it is! Little things that took a while to move between previous releases are much simpler to implement...absolutely wonderful job.

Happy 100th!

AllanE - While it *should* have worked, we just updated it to use another email address. Thanks for the feedback.

I sent in my request to upgrade to CS2007 on Tuesday, but haven't heard anything back from Telligent. Would you know when I'll hear back?

Taye - If you still haven't heard back, feel free to shoot me an email to jlema AT telligent DOT com and I'll make sure your upgrade happens quickly. As you can imagine, we're swamped with upgrade requests so thanks for your patience. :)
