What are you playing?
This past weekend I took some time to play on the Xbox 360. I downloaded the latest Live Arcade release, Heavy Weapon, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this new title. After so many of the coin-op "classics", I was wondering if we'd ever get a "new" game that was fun. Heavy Weapon does not disappoint. Not only is the single-player fun and challenging, but try War Party mode over Xbox Live and you'll have a blast! My teammates and I lasted more than 15 minutes on one occasion. While the picture below doesn't do it justice, with four people it can get pretty hairy.
Today, after calling it a day, I went to Blockbuster to swap out a video (as part of Total Access, which rocks BTW) and since I had a coupon for a *free* rental, I picked up a copy of Rainbow Six Vegas. Now, to be fair, I haven't played for more than about an hour, but the controls felt good, especially when using "cover". It also doesn't hurt that UbiSoft named the main casino Calypso after our next release of Community Server. But, the coolest part was when I got to use my Xbox Live Vision camera to take two pictures of my face and then wait (about two minutes) and see a character running around that looked kinda like me. I know, I'm pretty scary when I'm all dressed up.
